Oil Bases

Oil bases and their quality are critical to the performance of finished products and represent approximately 75% to 95% of a final lubricant.

OIL BASES

GROUP I

Solvent-refined, they contain more impurities and sulfur. They are less stable and cheaper.

OIL BASES

GROUP II

Hydrocracked, purer and with better thermal and oxidative stability than those in Group 1.

OIL BASES

GROUP III

Highly refined, almost synthetic, with excellent stability, purity and improved oil performance.

OIL BASES

Naphthenic

Naphthenic oils are characterized by their high asphalt content and because they are free of paraffins.
